The Eating Disorder Council of New Brunswick is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, challenging stigma, and providing meaningful support to individuals and families impacted by eating disorders. Through advocacy, education, and community outreach, we strive to foster understanding, promote early intervention, and ensure that those affected have access to the resources and care they need. Our mission is to create a compassionate and informed society where no one feels alone in their journey toward recovery.

Meet The Team

Kerri Harris
My name is Kerri Harris and I am one of the founders of the Eating Disorder Council of New Brunswick, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by eating disorders.
Having witnessed my daughter struggle with an eating disorder, I was inspired to create a safe space for all people of New Brunswick to find resources, hope and healing.
I look forward to working with others to create a world where recovery is possible for all.

Julia Besner
Hi, my name is Julia Besner. I am one of the co-founders of the Eating Disorder Council of New Brunswick, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, educating, providing support and advocating for better care for those impacted by eating disorders.
With a personal connection to eating disorders and a background in providing care as a Registered Dietitian, I understand the profound impact of eating disorders on individuals and their families, and the importance of access to resources in our province.
I am deeply passionate and hopeful about advancing prevention and care options in New Brunswick and building partnerships and capacity along the way.
